What more could Sean Golden have done to get on the Olympic team?  He won two events at the trials, for heaven's sake!  And they don't even name him as an alternate?  Who are they going to put up for vault at the Olympics?  And David Durante -- second all-around, and he is only an alternate!?  In fact, second, third and fourth places at the trials are all named as alternates, not put on the team itself!  I understand Paul Hamm and Jonathan Horton -- they are obviously the best two all-around.  I also understand Kevin Tan -- he has that monster rings routine that no one else in the US can even get within a full point of.  But I really don't understand the reasoning behind the rest of the team.  Who, for instance, are they going to put up for pommel horse?  Can anyone else shed light on why the selection committee might have chosen who they did?

I know! I felt so bad for Golden. I couldnt believe they left him out. I saw this video with him about how he's handling not making it. He seems like such a good person and a really humble guy! You should check it out.
this site has lots of other cool videos too.
