Title IX a law passed in 1972 protects womans (and mens) sports programs by stating equal access and funding to students atheltic programs. Title IX clarification is now @ risk!
"Recently, the Bush Administration made a major change to Title IX policy that threatens to reverse the enormous progress women and girls have made in sports. The Department of Education issued a "Clarification" to the law that ignores long-time policy and years of court rulings by allowing schools to force girls to prove that they are interested in participating in sports before they are given the chance to play. Male athletes have never had to meet this test. Stand up for women and girls in the classroom and on the playing field by urging President Bush and the Secretary of the Department of Education to enforce and strengthen Title IX."
TELL PRESIDENT BUSH: KEEP GIRLS PART OF THE TEAM!
