One of our goals here at GymnasticsMedia is to spotlight gymnastics as the ultimate sport. We have been working on an idea for a gymnastics encycolpedia (using wiki software) to help educate people about gymnastics. After a lot of research, and many nights trying different software we have finally set a release date of Saturday October 7th for our new feature... Gympedia!

We've created this forum so that Gympedia, users, editors, and administrators can colloberate on making Gympedia the best source for gymnastics information.

Woot! Although I have been a slacker and haven't done the bios I am supposed to write! I have a good excuse at least: I got my OWN radio show at the station I DJ for, so I've been busy getting playlists together!

Anyway, glad to see the Gympedia is almost ready to go!

That's AWESOME you got your OWN show? Do you need a bio update here? Is there a link to your show on the stations web site? Congrats Splitleap! Things are really falling into place for you!

The wikipedia you and I were using for creating bios was just too buggy. So I'm going to have to copy over the existing profiles, and entries once we launch Oct 7th.

We're also doing a migration to a new server soon, so GymnasticsMedia.com will be down for a little while. I'll announce when once I get a better idea from our hosting provider.

There's more about the migration & some planned new features after the migration, and Gympedia.

I don't think there is a link to the show just yet. Last I heard, the Web guy quit, so it'll probably be awhile before I get a link to THE PURPLE ROOM from the station's site!

I'll edit my bio if you just want to make the link to KOOL 108's website say, "Sundays 10 p.m.-midnight CST."
