Jessica Lynn Vota was born on April 15, 1989 in New York. She has a younger sister, Nicole. Nicole is a level 9 gymnast. Jessica says "My parents are my number one role model. They have raised me to be who I am today and I couldn't have asked for anything better."

Jessica started gymnastics at the age of three. Jessica was 13 when she first competed as a level 10 gymnast. In 2005, she qualified to the JO Nationals where she placed 9th on floor. She was also the 2005 NY state floor champion with a score of 9.725. In July of 2005 Jessica decided to leave her gym in New York so she could train with other elite gymnasts. Training at Parkettes has brought her gymnastics to a much higher level. She is looking foward to a great competitive year and hopes to qualify to International Elite.
